Flukes of sheep and goats

There are 2 groups of fluke affecting goats, sheep (and cattle).

• liver fluke (Fasciola hepatica)—these are the most important and cause serious disease.
• stomach fluke (Calicophoron calicophorum and Paramphistomum ichikawai)—these rarely cause disease.
